Night Executive Producer. We’re looking for that special person with vision and a passion for journalism to oversee our 9:00 and 10:00 newscasts. The ideal candidate knows how to showcase the day’s top story, develop story ideas and respond to breaking news and weather. The executive producer works with the evening and night anchors, reporters and producers to create compelling newscasts worth watching. You must have a track record of excellence in producing and booth skills. This position oversees the creation of show rundowns, participates in story selection and oversees content, graphic use, pacing and the overall “look and feel” of the broadcast. The Night Executive Producer ensures reporters and photojournalists in the field meet newsroom standards for fairness, accuracy, ethics and style/presentation. The night Executive Producer is responsible for ensuring producers, photographers and production staff consistently follows established expectations and guidelines and that newscast discrepancy reports are completed in a detailed manner. The Executive Producer is a key player in managing staff accountability. The Executive Producer develops and implements strategic goals in concert with other newsroom and station managers.

Requirements: 6+ years of Newscast Producing, prior newsroom managing experience, a college degree in journalism or a related field.
Meteorologist. FOX6 News is look for an experienced broadcast Meteorologist to join the state’s top weather team. We’ve got more than 40 years of collective Wisconsin forecasting experience and we’re seeking a dynamic meteorologist to add to our tradition of excellence. You need to do it all: television, online, social networking and community outreach. We’ve got state-of-the-art HD weather graphics, live HD Doppler radar and one of the premiere live weather site networks. All the tools are here! The person we’re looking for will work all shifts, including morning newscasts where a dynamic personality is an absolute must. We’re looking for more than just someone who figures out a forecast. We’re seeking a great storyteller who uses all the technology to create dynamic, compelling weather segments, on-air and online. We get a good amount of severe weather in both spring and winter, so hard work is a given in this position. We’ve got Milwaukee’s only outside weather deck – so many times you’ll be “in” the weather while reporting on it. We’re not looking for someone who hypes weather events. That’s not us. But we are all about connecting with the community and being the premiere weather team in town that people can depend on. You must be an AMS sealed meteorologist with 4 to 7 years on-air experience to qualify for this position.
Contact 6/Special projects producer. FOX6 News is looking for the next field producer of our promotable stories and stories for our long-running consumer franchise Contact 6. We are a station that does promotable stories for our 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. newscasts 52 weeks a year. These promotable stories include Contact 6 reports on issues affecting consumers and our viewers. We help our viewers in getting their problems solved. Fox 6 viewers have come to rely on Contact 6 to assist in cases of fraud, scams and consumer disputes. We have a long history of getting justice for our viewers. As part of your job you will be called on to manage the promotable story calendar. While your primary responsibility is producing Contact 6 stories, you will also be called on to produce, write and gather material for other promotable stories. This position requires someone who is organized, detail oriented, takes initiative and is a real go-getter. Qualified applicants must have a minimum of five years producing experience, either on newscasts or in field producing stories. Reporting experience is a huge plus and will be strongly considered, but this is not an on-air position. Strong storytelling and writing skills are essential. Web producer (part-time). FOX6 News is looking for a savvy digital journalist to join our team. Our multi-media platforms include FOX6Now.com, hyper-local sites, mobile content for iPhone, Android devices, Facebook, Twitter, WordPress, texting and whatever comes next in this fast-evolving world. We’re looking for a web producer to shepherd content – from stories to video to imagery to graphics – across all of our digital platforms. Crackerjack print-style writing skills, an attention to accuracy, detail and the ability to multi-task in a high-pressure, deadline environment are all essential for success in this position. We’re looking for a go-getter; someone who can take the job of web producer to a new level. For that reason, excellent communication skills are a must. Let there be no mistake – this is a job for a journalist who has a digital skill set.
Requirements: Bachelors degree with experience in commercial daily journalism. Must be comfortable with Facebook, Twitter, and Skype. Basic knowledge of html coding and Photoshop preferred. Multi-media Journalist. FOX6 News is seeking a multi-media journalist to join our team. We’re looking for someone who has the passion to pursue stories long before the competition, strive to be the lead every night (both on-air and online) and communicate with compelling writing and on-air performance. Milwaukee is hyper-competitive! You have to want to win every day on the street! The world of TV News is changing, so the successful candidate for this position must be well-versed in all aspects of today’s reporting landscape, from shooting and editing with state-of-the-art HD equipment, to online postings, to working sources and of course being ready for whatever else is about to happen next in our business. You must be a reporter as eager to break stories on the web as well as on the 6 o’clock news. You need at least two years experience. Photojournalist. FOX6 News is seeking a creative, multi-tasking photojournalist to join our team. Every day you will use state-of-the-art technology to shoot and edit the best HD-quality footage in town. You’ll collaborate with reporters, producers and managers to obtain the best visuals, the best “moments,” the best sound, the best news story. You’ll use live ENG/SNG/mobile gear, sometimes all in the same day! This is not a job for beginners – you need at least two years experience working in commercial television news. And if you’ve already been working in the biz, you know there’s no such thing as “9 to 5” so be prepared to work all different hours, days, shifts, and assignments. One day you might be covering the Green Bay Packers, the next you might be working closely with a reporter, live on the scene of a breaking news story, and the next day you’re solo, putting together a photo essay on a topic you found interesting and know will be great for air and online. A bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred. You must have a clean driving record (we will check!) and a Wisconsin Driver’s license. You must be physically able to lift, carry and handle camera gear, and deal with the realities of a Wisconsin winter or summer. Sales & Marketing
Account Executive. WITI-FOX 6 is growing and looking for dynamic Account Executives to join our team! Candidates will develop new business for the station, as well as service, maintain and grow existing accounts. In addition, candidates will provide outstanding customer service and form new relationships with clients. Prospects must be self-motivated with proven track record of success and possess the ability to work under pressure, be extremely organized and maintain a team spirit. Cold calling and prospecting is required.
Requirements: 2+ years of sales with strong organizational skills and proficiency with Excel, Word and Power Point preferred. Experience selling broadcast, cable or web/internet is a plus.
Broadcast engineer – temporary. FOX6 is looking for a Temporary Broadcast Engineer working 40 hours a week for up to 175 days. This position operates and maintains television broadcast equipment. Duties include master control, program & commercial spot ingest, microwave & satellite equipment operation. Computer skills and attention to detail are important. Knowledge of television master control and production techniques is highly desired.
Requirements. Degree preparation or course work in technical engineering discipline in lieu of broadcast engineering experience. This position is represented by IBEW 715.
Part-time engineer. Up to 25 hours per week. This is a Part Time position that operates and maintains television broadcast equipment. Some of the duties include Master Control, Technical Director, Robotics, and Audio Operation. Basic electronic maintenance skills and attention to detail are needed. Experience with Final Cut Pro and video editing will be highly essential in this position. Knowledge of television production techniques is highly desired.

Building maintenance. FOX 6 is looking for a Building Maintenance Worker. This position is responsible for everything from painting, replacing light bulbs, handling incoming/outgoing mail, packages, snow shoveling, light carpentry, testing fire alarms, heavy duty cleaning such as waxing floors and cleaning carpets, hanging pictures, moving furniture and much more. We are looking for someone who can perform the upkeep necessary to avoid costly repairs. This person must be able to multitask and be willing to assist co-workers and guests with a smile and positive attitude. This position will work with outside contractors to service the building such as garbage and recycling pick up, inspectors, plumbers and electricians. The position requires organization to maintain building records and maintenance logs. Occasionally this person will assist with covering the switchboard. Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements: High school graduate plus 4 years of related employment. Must have and maintain a valid Wisconsin driver’s license. Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move more than 75 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
