Governor Walker meets with Hispanic business owners

As the recall signatures pile up, Governor Scott Walker visits Milwaukee to meet with Hispanic business leaders. Wisconsin led the country in October job losses with almost 10,000, but these business leaders are staying optimistic.

Rich Acevedo is one of about a dozen Hispanic business leaders who have the Governor's ear, hoping to find help in finding funds so they can hire workers. He says, "Maybe through some collaborations the purse strings will loosen up a little bit."

Many of the business owners who met with Governor Walker expect to hire more workers in the next year. Governor Walker said, "We lost in the last three years 150,000 jobs. So the recovery is not going to happen overnight. Since the beginning of the year we've had a net gain of over 20,000 jobs state wide."

The unemployment rate in Wisconsin is 7.7%, which is below the national average of 8.6%.
