Wave burn Comets, 11-7

MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee Wave bounced back from its first loss of the season with a 11-2 win over the Missouri Comets. The Wave wanted the win to keep the distance in the Central Division standings as the Comets are currently behind the Wave.

The Wave has consistently had a balanced offensive attack with nine players in double digit points coming into this game. They continued the balanced attack with five different players scoring tonight.
The Wave came out physical racking up six fouls and one penalty in the first quarter alone. Marco Terminesi scored his first points of the season with a terrific pass that Nick Perera netted for the first goal of the game followed quickly with Terminesi’s first goal. The Wave led 4-0 after the first quarter. The Comets Brian Harris got them onto the board bringing them to with two points going into half time at 4-2.
The Wave continued their offensive pressure in the third quarter when Ian Bennett netted a 3 point goal. Pablo was able to score off a Perera pass on a breakaway giving the Wave a 9-2 lead which is how the quarter would end. The Comet’s forged a comeback late in the fourth quarter when Lucas Rodriquez launched a 3-point goal bringing the Comets to within 6. The Comets added a sixth attacker and Bryon Alvarez scored quickly. The Wave’s defensive held off any further attacks winning the game 11-7 putting their record at an MISL best 9-1.

The Milwaukee Wave on the road for five games in Syracuse, Rochester and Wichita before returning home on January 29th.
