Business shut down over shooting at "illegal" party

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police say four people were shot in Norman's One Step during an apparent armed robbery attempt early Sunday.

The shootings happened following an after-hours party hosted at the northside bar. Police believe hundreds of people may have been at the underground party.

Gary Kuchta knows the owner of Norman's and was surprised to hear about the party. He says most of the bar's patrons were elderly, retired folks who came there for a calm drink or two.

Now, the building owner has shut down the bar.

Monday morning, owners evicted the business and began boarding up the place. They tell FOX6 News, it will stay that way until all the facts are known and someone is held responsible.

The identities of the victims have not been released. However, police say none of them suffered any life-threatening injuries.
