Milwaukee's four-inch rule is now in effect

MILWAUKEE -- A fresh coat of snow creates some headaches for drivers in Milwaukee. That's because the city's four-inch rule is now in effect. Break the rule and you could face a $40 ticket.

The rule says if marked, don't part on a street until plows have had a chance to clean to the curb.

City officials say the rule is not intended to generate money for the city. It's to motivate people to move their cars so the streets can be cleaned.
The city has a new system where they will text you when the four-inch rule or a snow emergency goes into effect. Click the link in the RELATED ITEMS to get more information.
