Business Journal Report (1-17-12)

In business news for Tuesday, January 17th, 2012 -- Lakefront Brewery produced a record 23,576 barrels of beer in 2011! That's nearly 5,600 barrels more than the year before. Also, the new year brings a new name for a Milwaukee agency known for helping the homeless.

Lakefront Brewery President Russ Klisch attributes the nearly 34 percent increase to the growing portfolio of its brands. He also notes a strong partnership with its Milwaukee area distributor, Beer Capitol Distributing.

Health Care for the Homeless will now be called Outreach Community Health Centers. Besides changing its name, the 31-year-old organization will expand its primary care services to include pediatric care and on-site pharmacy services at its Capitol Drive clinic. The rebranding recognizes the agency's goal of reaching out to a much larger population and serve the non-homeless as well.
