WEST BEND -- A gas station outside West Bend is looking for its ATM machine, after crooks smashed through the front door and stole the whole unit. It happened Friday morning at the Quick Stop off of Highway P.

Deputies say this may be part of a string of recent gas station robberies.

In late December, robbers broke into the Mayfield Mobile in Richfield, and last week, the Shell station outside of Slinger was hit.

Deputies say in all three cases, the stations were closed, and the robbers came and left quickly.

Customers at the West Bend station say they hope the bold crooks are caught quickly. "They got some guts to do something like this - grab a whole ATM machine," Chris Heins said. "It is kind of upsetting, but at the same time there are people out here who do this kind of stuff."

Deputies say right now, they don't have any suspects. If you have any information, you're asked to call the Washington County Sheriff's Office at 262-335-4378.
