Chasity Lewis

MILWAUKEE — 18-year-old Chasity Lewis is now charged with killing 17-year-old Roderrick Capehart. The murder happened Tuesday night near 19th and Finn in Milwaukee.

According to police, Capeheart and three others planned to buy marijuana from Lewis and then rob her. During the struggle, Lewis is accused of shooting the victim.

Lewis says she shot the victim because she didn’t want her money and weed stolen; it wasn’t because she feared for her safety.

If convicted, Lewis faces up to 25 years in prison.
