Man charged with selling cocaine at mall parking lot

WAUKESHA CO. -- The Waukesha County Sheriff's Department says there's been an increase in crack cocaine and heroin cases.

That's evidenced in part by a recent case involving 23-year-old David Fletcher. As first reported by Brookfield Patch, Fletcher is accused of selling crack cocaine to a police informant in a Brookfield Square mall parking lot back in May 2011.

According to the criminal complaint, Fletcher told the informant, "I hooked you up good."

Investigators say it was a total of $500 worth of crack. Fletcher is now charged with the manufacture and delivery of cocaine.

"We have people here in Waukesha County that I mentioned that are overdosing, that are manufacturing, that are heavily involved in the drug trade, and we certainly are not immune to it here," said Waukesha Co. Sheriff David Trawicki.
