Sinkhole on Highway 33 in Saukville now repaired

SAUKVILLE — The Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Department says a sinkhole has been repaired and the eastbound lanes of Highway 33 in Saukville are now reopened.

The lane closure occurred Wednesday morning after a piece of pavement crumbled into a culvert developing a minor sinkhole.

Maintenance engineers from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) were on the scene much of the morning investigating the four by four hole.
