MILWAUKEE — A Wisconsin program offering energy incentives to businesses and homeowners is on hold.

The Public Service Commission says the program was over budget and not cost effective.

The program was part of “Focus on Energy,” offering special savings on renewable energy systems.

Critics say the program’s suspension is damaging the state’s renewable energy marketplace, and they’re asking the PSC to get the funding restored.
