Brookfield couple celebrate 80th wedding anniversary

BROOKFIELD -- Brides and grooms-to-be may be able to learn a lesson from a Brookfield couple. Dorothy and Roy Flemming celebrated their 80th wedding anniversary Monday!

Dorothy and Roy took a trip back down the aisle to celebrate. They were married in 1932 in a church in Milwaukee.

Dorothy says they knew each other well before they got hitched. "We knew each other a couple of years before that. He was getting smart, so I thought we better get married," Dorothy said, laughing.

Dorothy and Roy have two kids and numerous grandkids, and 80 years later, they live in an assisted living center in Brookfield.

When asked the secret to their long marriage, Roy says do anything she says!

The longest marriage in the Guinness Book of World Records is 86 years.
