DE PERE (AP) — De Pere’s police chief says that other than toxicology tests, the investigation into the deaths of a couple and their two children is done.

Chief Derek Beiderwieden said Monday autopsies confirm investigators’ conclusion that Denis Bay fatally shot his wife, Michelle, and their two children, 14-year-old Andrea and 10-year-old Daniel before taking his own life Friday at their De Pere home.

Flowers, stuffed animals and other mementos have been placed at a stop sign near the crime scene. Brown County Circuit Court records show a divorce was pending for the couple. Beiderwieden says Michelle Bay and the children were shot multiple times and Denis Bay died of a single gunshot.

A Sturgeon Bay funeral home is handling arrangements for the Bay family.
