Foul play helps UW-Milwaukee hold off Cleveland State

MILWAUKEE -- Rob Jeter's Milwaukee Panthers got off the deck by conquering the Cleveland State Vikings on Tuesday night at the U.S. Cellular Arena, 86-84.  But it took "foul play" at the end to help them post the win.

Behind the sharpshooting of James Haarsma (25 points, 5 of 7 from three-point range) the hosts enjoyed a 16 point lead, but Cleveland State, sparked by a career-high fourteen points from Milwaukee native Charles Lee, came back to tie the game at 84. Then, with 1.1 seconds left, Tony Meier was fouled while attempting a three point shot. He calmly sank two of three free throws to solidify a much-needed win.

The Panthers improve to 16-12, 9-7 in the Horizon League.
