Cameras to inspect Whitefish Bay sewer lines after flooding

WHITEFISH BAY -- Whitefish Bay will move forward with a plan aimed at keeping rain water from the sanitary sewer system.

Rain water in the sewer system has been a big problem in Whitefish Bay since the floods of July 2010.

According to FOX6's media partners at the Whitefish Bay Patch, cameras will be used to inspect the lines, starting this summer. By televising the lines, the village will find out which laterals will need to be replaced, and which need to be relined.

Whitefish Bay will also look for downspouts that are illegally connected to the sanitary sewer.
