Gallardo discusses pitching rotating during spring training

MARYVALE, AZ -- The Milwaukee Brewers have connected with reliever Mike Fiers on a contract for the 2012 season. The only two unsigned players are closer John Axford and starter Chris Narveson.

Yovani Gallardo was the ace of the staff down the stretch last year, but he knows getting the ball on Opening Day against St. Louis at Miller Park April 6th isn't a given.

For starters, Brewers manager Ron Roenicke is blessed with some solid arms. Gallardo spoke with FOX6's Tim Van Vooren during Spring Training 2012 in Maryvale, Arizona regarding the pitching rotation.

"I think for all of us, I think there is a lot of number one starters here. We all did a great job last year, I think, stepping up when we needed a win. I think one thing we have in common is that we are going to go out there and give it all we have," Gallardo said.
