Canadian Pacific Rail train damaged by fire

CALEDONIA -- Fire broke out Friday morning on a freight train. The Caledonia Police Department says the fire happened on the Canadian Pacific rail and was contained to one open box car.

Authorities say the Canadian Pacific rail was just north of Northwestern Avenue and west of County Highway H when the fire broke out.

Police say there was not an accident, no one was injured, and there were no hazardous materials on board. However, crews did need to disconnect multiple train cars from the rest of the train.
