Santorum speaks in Milwaukee, Sheboygan, Bellevue Saturday

MILWAUKEE -- Republican Rick Santorum began his push to win Wisconsin in the upcoming April 3rd presidential primary.  On Saturday, Santorum made stops in Milwaukee, Sheboygan and Bellevue. Sunday, Santorum visited Franksville and Fond du Lac.

Speaking to FOX6 News in Sheboygan Saturday, Santorum said winning Wisconsin could make a big difference for his campaign. "We're way down in the polls about 10-12 points, but you know, we've fought back before and come back and won, so we're hoping to do it again.  We've done it in a couple states and we hope to do it here," Santorum said.

Santorum touted his conservative values at Lakeshore Lanes in Sheboygan.  Santorum attacked President Obama in his stump speech, and also blasted republican front-runner Mitt Romney.  Santorum criticized comments made by a Romney aide likening Romney's campaign tactics to an etch-a-sketch.

"He said, I'll pull out this etch-a-sketch and tell Americans, he really doesn't believe in these things," Santorum said.

Fellow conservatives then watched Santorum bowl a few frames with his daughter.

Outside Lakeshore Lanes, a handful of people protested Santorum for his views on women's issues, including contraception and abortion. "As a woman, it's really disturbing to me to see that the Republican Party in general has become so hateful and so judgmental about women's issues," protester Lisa Briggs said.

Santorum's push for Republican votes continued on Sunday, with stops in Fond du Lac and Franksville.  Mitt Romney has said he plans to visit Wisconsin at the end of the month, although he may come sooner.  Romney's wife, Ann, was in Milwaukee on Thursday.
