Police seeking info. in 60th and Fond du Lac hit and run

MILWAUKEE -- Christina Chase left her job at the McDonald's restaurant off of Fond du Lac Avenue on Milwaukee's north side around 11:00 p.m. Friday, March 16th. Chase was riding her bicycle, and just trying to get home after a long day's work when she was hit by a van that failed to stop. Now, Chase's sister is speaking out - asking for the public's help in finding the driver responsible.

Chase's sister says Chase was hit by a gold-colored van at the busy intersection near 60th and Fond du Lac. "She has a shattered left leg. Her arm on the left hand side is shattered from her elbow down. She also has a skull crack on the left hand side that required staples," Chase's sister said.

Chase spent days in the hospital and only just recently started doing a bit better. "The thing that's hard is seeing her in the condition that she's in. Seeing her lying up, crying sometimes, and just in a lot of pain," Chase's sister said.

Chase's family needs your help. If you were in the area Thursday, March 15th or may have seen a damaged gold-colored van you're asked to call Milwaukee police. "It's been very difficult for me and my family to deal with this traumatic situation. We've never dealt with anything like this in our life. If anyone could come forward with some information, we'd appreciate that. We're just looking to find this individual who struck and hit her, and just left her," Chase's sister said.
