Les Paul guitars, recording equipment going up for auction

WAUKESHA -- Some of the "Wizard of Waukesha's" guitars and recording equipment will be sold at auction.

Celebrity auctioneer Darren Julien says the Les Paul Sale includes rare guitars, effects pedals, mixing consoles and the grand piano from his home recording studio.

Julien's Auctions in Beverly Hills will host the sale over three days in June.

Paul developed one of the first solid-body electric guitars, released commercially in 1952 as the Gibson Les Paul, as well as the technology behind modern multi-track recording.

The auction benefits the Les Paul Foundation.

The auction runs from June 8th through 9th, and bids can be placed online.
