Santorum catching criticism for swearing at reporter in WI

RACINE -- Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum is catching some criticism after he swore at a New York Times reporter on the campaign trail in Wisconsin Sunday.

The exchange between a New York Times reporter and Santorum went as follows:

Reporter: "You said Romney is the worst Republican."

Santorum: "What speech did you listen to?"

Reporter: "This one."

Santorum: "Stop lying. I said he's the worst Republican to run on the issue of ObamaCare, and that's what I was talking about. I have said uniquely, for every speech I give, I've said he is uniquely disqualified to run against Barack Obama on the issue of health care. Would you guys quit distorting what I'm saying?"

Reporter: "But you said he's the worst Republican - "

Santorum: "To run against Barack Obama on the issue of health care, because he fashioned the blueprint. I've been saying it in every speech. Quit distorting my words. If I see it, it's bull (expletive). Come on man, what are you doing?"

Reporter: "Who is distorting your words?"

Santorum: "You just did by asking me that question."

Reporter Jeff Zeleny says the outburst was an attempt to play to rolling TV cameras and to build support among Conservative Republicans.
