DNA links 26-year-old man to Racine rape case

RACINE -- DNA evidence has linked a man to a rape case in Racine.

A woman went to police after being attacked last November. She was examined by a doctor and evidence was sent to the Wisconsin Crime Lab.

Thursday, April 5th, charges were filed against 26-year-old Ronald Cephus. The Wisconsin Crime Lab linked Cephus' DNA to DNA found on the woman.

Cephus was considered a person of interest in another case earlier this year, but was released because the Racine County District Attorney didn't have enough evidence for charges.
