Crane operator injured after two-alarm fire at Maynard Steel

MILWAUKEE -- A two-alarm fire broke out around 9:30 p.m. Monday, April 9th at Maynard Steel on Milwaukee's south side.

Authorities say one worker, a crane operator, was sent to the hospital. Firefighters say they don't believe the worker's injuries are life threatening.

The cause of the fire is unknown, however, officials believe the two-alarm fire may have started in a piece of machinery similar to an oven. The incident remains under investigation.

There is no word yet on how much damage the fire caused.
