Cardinal Dolan to lead Mass at Holy Hill next Saturday

HUBERTUS -- Former Milwaukee Archbishop Timothy Dolan, who was recently elevated to Cardinal, will pay a visit to his old congregation next Saturday, April 28th. Cardinal Dolan is expected to lead Mass at Holy Hill, and preparations are already underway.

This will be Cardinal Dolan's first trip to his old congregation since his big promotion, and Catholics said they are thrilled to have the opportunity to see their former leader. Church officials say they're expecting a big crowd.

Julie Wolf, a spokesperson with the Milwaukee Archdiocese says they do not want parishioners camping out overnight. Holy Hill will open at 6:00 a.m. Saturday, April 28th and those willing to wait can stand in line for a wristband. Wristbands will be handed out at 1:30 Saturday afternoon, and the service starts at 4:30. "We are not discouraging people to come out. We just want them to know what to expect," Wolf said.

The Archdiocese says the church holds 2,000 people. The service will be shown live on television, radio and the internet. FOX6 plans to broadcast the Mass on digital channel 6.2 and live stream the Mass on FOX6Now.com at 4:30 p.m.
