Health Department: No new confirmed rubella cases

MILWAUKEE -- The City of Milwaukee Health Department said Tuesday, May 1st it has identified four individuals that may have come into close contact with an American United Taxi Cab driver infected with rubella. Testing of two of these individuals were negative for rubella, and the other two were referred to local public health authorities.

The Health Department says they continue to follow up with approximately 100 individuals that may have come into contact with the taxi driver since April 13th.

There are no additional cases of rubella that have been confirmed at this time.

The Health Department says it will continue to monitor spread of the disease in the coming five to six weeks.
