Man charged with threatening employee of Republic Airways

MILWAUKEE -- 51-year-old Frederick Reaves of Milwaukee faces a criminal indictment for allegedly mailing a threatening letter to Republic Airways, the parent corporation of Frontier Airlines.

The indictment alleges Reaves mailed a letter on April 16th that contained threats to harm an employee of Republic and others. The letter was received by Republic Airways in Indianapolis.

The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Department of Homeland Security, Transportation Security Administration and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney John J. Manning of the Eastern District of Wisconsin.

If convicted, Reaves faces up to five years in prison.
