Milwaukee police investigating weekend shootings

MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee police are investigating several weekend shootings, scattered throughout the city.

The first happened at around 8:00 Friday, May 11th near 9th and Keefe.

A 21-year-old victim was shot, and police say that victim is expected to survive.

Police haven’t released any other details, but say their investigation is ongoing.

A second deadly shooting occurred on Milwaukee’s south side.

It happened around 2:00 a.m. near 18th and Greenfield Saturday, May 12th.

Police say one man was shot in the head, and died at the scene. Police have identified that man as Carlos Santos-Rivera.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
