Brewers Avoid Being Swept, 16-4

MILWAUKEE --The Milwaukee Brewers have been on the wrong end of far too many drubbings for their tastes this season.  Therefore, Sunday's 16-4 Brewers trouncing of the Twins was particularly welcome.

Jonathan Lucroy tied a franchise record with seven runs batted in, with four of them coming on his first career grand slam.  Zack Greinke improved to 5 and 1 on the season and 14 and 0 as a Brewer in starts at Miller Park.

The game was so lopsided that Twins catcher Drew Butera pitched the eighth inning and topped 90 miles per hour on the stadium radar gun.  Brewers reliever Tim Dillard was ejected in the top of the ninth after the home plate umpire thought he was throwing at hitters intentionally.  Dillard's personality, and the score at the time, made that rather unlikely.

Milwaukee next hosts San Francisco, starting Monday night.
