$10,000 reward offered for information in arrow incident

FOND DU LAC CO. — The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Department has increased the reward amount from $500  to $10,000 for information that could help them determine who’s responsible for injuring a young Campbellsport girl.

The reward increase is due to donations from several Campbellsport individuals, as well as people from around the state.

Seven-year-old Aryanna Schneeberg was struck in the back by an arrow while in front of her home on Main St. on Sunday evening, May 20th.

"With the press coverage that we have on this, it's really hard for us to believe that the person who launched the arrow doesn't know that there's a little girl injured," Fond du Lac County Sheriff Mick Fink said Wednesday.

The bow and arrows of a neighbor were sent to the state crime lab for analysis after the man consented to a search of his property. While he cannot discuss specific details, Sheriff Fink says crime lab results are "encouraging." His agency still does not know who fired the arrow or why.

Detectives hope the increased reward will speed up the process.

"What we're trying to do is encourage any body who has any information at all, no matter how small you think that is, it's probably very critical to us," detective Cameron McGee said.

Without knowing specifics, Sheriff Fink cannot determine whether someone will face criminal charges, but says someone knows what happened.

Doctors at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin removed the arrow from Aryanna. It had pierced her back and multiple organs including her lung, diaphragm, stomach and spleen.

Anyone with information that could help investigators is urged to call the Fond du Lac County law enforcement tip line at 920-906-4777.
