Fire damages Milwaukee home near 9th & Hadley

MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee firefighters battled a house fire near 9th Street and Hadley Street early Wednesday morning, May 30th. Officials say the fire broke out shortly after 1:30 a.m.

The fire began in the basement of the house and spread to the attic. There is no word on the amount of damage the fire caused.

Authorities say everyone made it out of the house safely and there were no injuries as a result of the fire. 

The cause of the fire is unknown and remains under investigation.
