VILLAGE OF RICHFIELD — Washington County Sheriff’s officials are searching for the suspect involved in a bank robbery at the M&I Bank on State Highway 175 in the Village of Richfield Thursday morning, May 31st.

Officials say the incident occurred just before 10:30 a.m.

Sheriff’s officials say a male subject came into the bank and handed a note to the teller demanding cash.  No weapon was displayed.

After receiving an undetermined amount of cash the suspect fled the bank on foot.  It is believed the suspect ran to a nearby parking lot and entered a dark-colored, possibly green, mini-van and fled the area.

It is believed that the suspect was the driver of the min-van and the only occupant of the vehicle.

The suspect is described as a white male, 5’5”-5’9”, with a medium build and brown hair.
