Investigators say Young stabbed 52-year-old Christine Saucier to death during a struggle over crack cocaine.

According to the criminal complaint, Young uses crack on a daily basis and went over to Saucier’s home to do drugs together.

Police say Saucier’s upstairs neighbor heard a man yelling, “I surrender.” The complaint says when he knocked on the door, the man said he had stabbed somebody.

Police say in the complaint that Young told them the two were in the bathroom when Saucier was holding onto the remaining crack in a potato chip bag and he just freaked out. The complaint goes on to say Young admitted he just kept cutting her until she stopped trying to fight back.

Saucier’s family is happy Young is in custody and cooperating, but it doesn’t outweigh the pain they’re feeling from losing their loved one.

“I’m hurt yo. I don’t know what to say, I love my momma,” Saucier’s daughter, Chiffon Saucier said.

“For whatever reason, you shouldn’t have done that. You should have had other reasons to walk away. You should get the maximum that they can give you,” Saucier’s son, Tomichael Saucier said.

If young is convicted, Young faces mandatory life in prison. He was given a $500,000 cash bond.
