One dead after tanker truck rolls over on Highway 67

WAUKESHA CO. -- A 22-year-old Allenton man was killed after a tanker truck rolled over on Highway 67 near County Highway ZZ, between Eagle and Dousman, in Waukesha County early Thursday morning, June 7th.

It happened around 4:30 a.m. Thursday.

The Waukesha County Sheriff's Department says the driver of the tanker truck was going around a curve when the truck left the road, went into a ditch and rolled over. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities say the truck was transporting milk and some of it leaked out of the truck after the accident. The Wisconsin DNR was called in to clean up the milk.

Both the southbound and northbound lanes on Highway 67 at County Highway ZZ in the city of Ottawa were closed as crews handled the crash scene. The roadway was shut down for approximately six hours.

No further details have been released at this time -- including the cause of the accident or the name of the victim.

The trucking company is Gundrum Trucking out of Slinger.
