Flirting app Skout suspends use by teens after child rape accusations

WAUKESHA -- The popular flirting app "Skout" has suspended its use by teens, following a report of three child-rape accusations stemming from the use of its service.

One of the cases involves a Waukesha man who is charged with having sex with a 13-year-old boy in a Milwaukee park.

The Skout app allows users to share their location to flirt with strangers.

It was originally designed for adults, but a teenage version was developed last year.

21-year-old Daniel Schmidt is accused of posing as a teen to meet a boy from Hales Corners.

Schmidt is due back in court on Friday.
