Man in custody after tactical situation on city's north side

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police took a man into custody Sunday night, June 17th after a tactical situation near Florist Avenue and 42nd Street on the city's north side.

Officers responded to the location to arrest the man on outstanding warrants. Officials say the man was wanted for first-degree recklessly endangering safety, felon in possession of a firearm and violation of probation.

Authorities say the man refused to come out of his home and the tactical team had to be called to the scene.

Authorities say after a two-hour standoff, the man came out of the home without incident and police took him into custody.
