OAK CREEK — Oak Creek Fire crews were called to a home on South Warick Drive in Oak Creek around 11:00 Wednesday morning, June 20th for a garage fire.

Because some Oak Creek crews were helping out at the five-alarm fire near downtown Milwaukee at 12th and Vliet, Oak Creek crews had to call in other departments to help battle the Oak Creek fire.

Department from South Milwaukee, Cudahy, Saint Francis, Franklin, Greendale and Greenfield were called in to assist.

Officials say a family was in the home when the fire started, and were able to get out.

Fire officials say their investigation into this incident is ongoing.
