Central Florida man's mug shot drawing national attention

VOLUSIA CO, Florida -- Kelsey Smith is drawing attention -- not for what he did -- but because his mug shot taken at the Volusia Co. Sheriff's Department in Florida is so unusual.

Deputies found Smith parked in a running car. They smelled alcohol. But Smith refused to take a field sobriety test.

Smith then allegedly got physical with the officers when they tried to arrest him. He repeatedly hit his head and face on the roof of the squad car -- and then spit blood.

Officers had to use a stun gun on Smith twice to get him into handcuffs. And then when it was time to take his mug shot, as you can see, they had to hold his head steady.

Smith is now charged with driving under the influece.
