MILWAUKEE — Miller Park is the winner of ESPN’s “Battle of the Ballparks.” It went head to head with AT&T Park in San Francisco.

The home of the Milwaukee Brewers was the #24 seed when this thing began — an extreme longshot to win it all. But Brewers fans from across the country made a statement after ESPN’s writer on this story made it all too clear Milwaukee’s stadium was not his choice.

Here’s what was written on the ESPN site…

  • “Thanks to the wonders of social media, it comes down to this: Your finale for baseball’s best ballpark pits a privately funded retro-park that offers gorgeous views of San Francisco Bay, McCovey Cove and Matt Cain, plus the aroma of garlic fries and the taste of microbrews, against a stadium with the feel of an airline terminal that also features races between people in giant-sausage costumes.”
