Walworth County man accused of sexually assaulting children

LAKE GENEVA -- A Walworth County man faces allegations of sexually assaulting a boy he mentored, and a second child has come forward with similar allegations. With the appearance of a second victim, law enforcement are working to find out if there's more victims.

51-year-old Rodney Meiller is the man accused of sexually assaulting boys. Following the allegations he threatened to kill himself while investigators questioned him.

Meiller was a volunteer with Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Rock, Jefferson and Walworth Counties. During his time there he allegedly sexually abused an 11-year-old child at the YMCA in Lake Geneva and his home.

Walworth County Sheriff David Graves says, "Right now, we have a second complaint on Mr. Meiller that occurred outside of Lake Geneva that we area investigating, and we're asking if there's any other victims out there that they step forward and we will interview them, and investigate their claim."

Big Brothers and Big Sisters has terminated Meiller's work with the organization after learning about the allegations of sexual abuse.

The Walworth County Sheriff's Department wants victims to step forward regardless of the county they reside in.

Meiller was arrested, but charges have yet to be filed.
