Sean Forester-Hoare sentenced for life in prison for stabbing

RACINE COUNTY — Sean Forester-Hoare was sentenced to life plus eight years in prison for a stabbing incident that killed 21-year-old Jonathan Kwiatkowski in April 2011.

Forester-Hoare was found guilty of first degree murder in the case.

Forester-Hoare attacked his neighbor, Kwiatkowski, in the early morning hours of April 4th in the Kwiatkowski family's driveway in the Village of Wind Point. Forester-Hoare was apparently upset about the way Kwiatkowski was driving.

According to the criminal complaint in the case, Kwiatkowski was returning from his girlfriend’s home when he was followed by Forester-Hoare. Just minutes later Forester-Hoare used a knife to slit Kwiatkowski’s throat.

During the trial, Forester-Hoare tried to claim self-defense, saying the Kwiatkowski family attacked him, but a jury convicted him with first degree homicide and two counts of recklessly endangering safety.

The eight-year sentence was handed down for the two counts of recklessly endangering safety.

Forester-Hoare may petition for release on extended supervision after 40 years served.

Forester-Hoare will report for sentencing on July 2nd.
