Journey of 87 miles to combat Wisconsin violence

MILWAUKEE -- Runners, walkers, bikers and roller-bladers took part in an 86-mile journey for justice Wednesday, July 11th.

It's a part of the Wisconsin Anti-Violence Effort, or WAVE, and each mile represents the 86 people who are killed with guns every day in the United States.

The journey will then extend one extra mile, to show they will do whatever it takes to try to end the violence.

The journey began in Shorewood, went through Milwaukee and headed north to Port Washington, before ending in Mequon.
