The two suspects were arrested after Racine police responded to a report of St. John's Nepomuk Church being burglarized late on Thursday, July 12th.

The church's pastor returned to the church around 11:30 p.m. and noticed there were lights on inside the building. He also saw at least one person inside.

When police got on the scene, they set up a perimeter with help from a K9 unit.

Police say Compton exited the building through a second floor door -- and eventually fled to a garage roof. He jumped from the roof, injured his ankle and was taken into custody.

The second suspect was was located on a roof of the building and taken into custody without incident.

St. John Nepomuk Church had previously reported a burglary on July 6, 2012.
