MILWAUKEE — A deal is apparently nearly wrapped up to change the name of the Frontier Airlines Center in downtown Milwaukee.

Frontier’s $500,000 a year current agreement runs through June 2013.

Frank Gimbel, the chairman of the Wisconsin Center District, told FOX6 News on Wednesday, August 15th — the deal with the unidentified naming rights partner includes the last year of Frontier’s agreement in place now. It also includes a possible five-year deal beyond that.

Prior to Frontier Airlines securing the naming rights to the convention center, it was named the Midwest Airlines Center.

Sources told FOX6 News Wednesday the Frontier Airlines Center could become the Delta Airlines Center, but Delta is not commenting at this time.
