Protester spits on Romney supporter at Wisconsin event

GRAND CHUTE (AP) -- A video taken at a Wisconsin event on behalf of Mitt Romney shows a protester arguing with a Romney supporter and then spitting in her face.

The event Friday in Grand Chute was part of a statewide "Wisconsin Women for Mitt" tour.

A protester interrupted Republican state Sen. Alberta Darling to ask about Republican opposition to Planned Parenthood.

A woman standing next to the protester chides her in a loud voice to "wait until she's done. Zip it. Zip it." The protester tells the woman to get out of her face, and then spits on her.

The protester is identified as an 83-year-old Appleton woman. She says she was scratched on the neck.

Grand Chute police are reviewing the incident.
