Routine traffic stop results in two arrests, one injury

MILWAUKEE -- A routine traffic stop conducted by Milwaukee police early Monday morning near 38th and Lisbon prompted nearly a dozen squad cars, paramedics from the fire department and resulted in two arrests and one injury.

Authorities say they conducted a routine traffic stop shortly before 2:30 a.m. Monday near 3522 W. Lisbon. Police say one person was transported to the hospital and two arrests were made as a result of the incident.

Officials say the injured individual was a female. The extent of her injuries is unknown.

Investigators have not released any other details at this time -- including what prompted the traffic stop or how that led to two arrests and one injury. However, a FOX6 crew member on the scene says they saw officers recover a handgun from the vehicle.
