LOS ANGELES -- Bank robbers led police in Los Angeles on an hour-long, high-speed chase on Wednesday, September 12th.
At one point in the chase, the robbers (there were several in the black SUV being chased) started tossing their loot out of the SUV. Thousands of dollars was seen being tossed out the window of the vehicle causing a frenzy in the street.
The longer the chase went, the more it was covered on TV. More and more people started coming out of their homes hoping to get some of the stolen cash.
About an hour after the chase began, the robbers got pinned at an intersection when a larger pickup truck blocked the robbers' path.
All the suspects were taken into custody. But it's unclear how much money was lost in the pursuit.
