Police search for Mt. Pleasant bank robbery suspects

MT. PLEASANT -- Police are searching for two suspects that robbed the Landmark Credit Union on Washington Ave. in the Village of Mt. Pleasant Monday, October 22nd.

Officials say around 3 p.m. two male suspects entered the Landmark Credit Union. Police say one suspect displayed a silver automatic-type handgun and demanded money.

The suspects then fled the scene on foot towards Emmertsen Rd. with an unknown amount of cash. Police believe the suspects may have entered a vehicle of unknown make or color after fleeing on foot.

Authorities say no one was injured during the robbery and suspects remain at large.

Both suspects are described as African-American males in their teens or early 20s. Both were dressed in black hoods, masks, pants and gloves. One suspect is described as being 5'6" to 5'9" with a slim build. The second suspect is described as being 6 feet tall with a slim to medium build.
