Perez pleads guilty in fatal hit-and-run crash in Milwaukee
MILWAUKEE -- Luis Perez pleaded guilty on Monday, November 12th in the fatal hit-and-run crash that killed 25-year-old Gilbert Vazquez.
The crash happened near 16th and Mitchell on Milwaukee's south side on Saturday, May 26th.
According to the criminal complaint in the case, Perez told his ex-girlfriend at the time that Vazquez jumped in front of his car, and he got scared and fled the scene.
Perez will be in court for his sentencing on Wednesday, November 28th. He faces up to 25 years in prison, and $100,000 in fines.
