Two charged with endangering safety, possessing explosives

GRAFTON -- Two men each face four criminal charges including second-degree recklessly endangering safety and possession of explosives in Ozaukee County. The accused are 21-year-old Ryan Boreman of Grafton and 20-year-old Vince Lueck of Sheboygan.

The charges against Boreman and Lueck were filed on Thursday, November 15th. They stem from two incidents -- one on Saturday, October 13th and the other on Friday, November 9th.

The criminal complaints against the two say on October 13th, officers were dispatched to a tavern in Grafton called "Scooter's Place." The accused are suspected of tossing a homemade smoke bomb into the tavern and fleeing.

The complaint indicates Boreman stated he "made a smoke bomb after watching a YouTube video." He said Lueck went to "Scooter's Place" to ignite the smoke bomb in front of the tavern while Boreman watched from a nearby pizza shop. Boreman also said he recorded the incident on his cell phone -- which has now been turned over to police.

The second incident cited in the criminal complaint stems happened on Friday, November 9th. Boreman admitted to making a Draino or pressure bomb with Lueck -- and that Lueck threw the device into another person's vehicle at Limn Kiln Park in Grafton. The victims in this case were able to toss the bomb out of their car before it exploded. Nobody was hurt.

If convicted, Boreman and Lueck each face up to 12-and-a-half years in prison and $25,000 in fines.
