Four Kenosha homes evacuated following fire, explosion

KENOSHA -- Four Kenosha homes were evacuated Thursday night, November 15th after a shed fire lead to an explosion.

Officials say the fire broke out around 11 p.m. in a large shed in the back yard of a home on Harrison Road.

It is unclear how the fire began, but officials say the large explosion was due to a boat stored in the back with 50 gallons of gas and other compressed gas canisters stored in the structure.

Officials say four nearby homes were evacuated as a result of the fire and explosion. Officials say the fire was under control in about two hours.

Authorities say no injuries were sustained as a result of the fire.
